Müzik Hackathon isn't an event — it's a platform.
Müzik Hackathon is a platform and community that brings young music-makers together all year round. The goal isn't one great night on stage — it's a scene that keeps creating: a place to learn, people to play with, and a channel to get your work heard.
Throughout the year you hear from masters of the craft in webinars, get hands-on with instruments and production in workshops, and meet your future bandmates in the community. And once a year, it all comes together on one stage: the 42-hour Müzik Hackathon.
Membership is free. With a single account you can register for every event and track your applications, registrations and vouchers from your own panel.

What is Genç Kültür Kart?
Genç Kültür Kart is a Konya Metropolitan Municipality programme that connects university students living in Konya, or coming here to study, with social, cultural, educational and sporting activities. Müzik Hackathon is the programme's creative arm — the part that takes to the stage.

Müzik Hackathon is a platform and community that brings young music makers together all year round. Webinars, workshops and the annual 42-hour production marathon are all events of this platform. The hackathon is the platform's biggest event — not the whole platform.
What do I gain by becoming a member?
With a single account you can register for webinars and workshops, see your Genç Kültür Kart vouchers on your panel, and track the status of your hackathon application. Membership is free.
Who can become a member?
Anyone with an interest in music can join the platform. To enjoy the Genç Kültür Kart benefits, though, you need to be a university student aged 25 or under who lives in Konya or has moved there to study.
Do the events cost anything?
No. Webinars, workshops and the hackathon are completely free under the Genç Kültür Kart programme.
How are Genç Kültür Kart and Müzik Hackathon related?
Müzik Hackathon is the music arm of Konya Metropolitan Municipality's Genç Kültür Kart programme. All of the platform's events run free of charge under this programme; the programme itself is explained further down the page.
How do I join the webinars and workshops?
Browse the upcoming events in the Benefits section, sign in and register. Capacity is limited. Once your registration is confirmed, the webinar stream link appears on your panel; it is not shared publicly.
I'm not a musician — can I still take part?
Yes. Most webinars and workshops are open to anyone who wants to learn. To apply for the hackathon, though, you'll need a band to play with.
When is the hackathon and how long does it last?
Once a year, 42 hours non-stop. It starts on Friday evening and ends with the final night on Sunday evening. Each year's dates are announced in the Hackathon section.
How do I apply for the hackathon?
Applications are made in the band's name: you fill in the band details and add a band performance video. Each band appoints a contact person, who must be a platform member; member limits are stated on the application form.
Does the application video need to be professional?
No. A clean rehearsal recording made on your phone is enough; the jury judges the idea and the performance, not the production.
Can I take part from outside Konya?
You can join the online events from anywhere in Türkiye. In-person workshops and the 42-hour part of the hackathon take place in Konya, and finalist bands must be in Konya on the event weekend.
Do I need to bring my own instrument to the hackathon?
The studio provides the basics — drums, amps, keyboards and a recording chain — but we recommend bringing your own instrument.
